Do you accept walk ins?

We do not accept walk-ins at this time.

We ask that you call or text our office so we can schedule you for the next available appointment. This allows us to give each individual and family the time, attention, and care they deserve without feeling rushed.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance.

Chiropractic offices that specialize in prenatal and pediatric care, like ours, typically operate outside of insurance models. This is because insurance is designed to cover short-term, symptom-based care, rather than proactive, long-term family wellness care. Our focus is on helping your entire family function, adapt, and thrive over time.

We often say that we work for you, not your insurance company. This allows us to provide the care you need, without being limited by what an insurance plan will or will not cover. We can create superbills for care received that you can use to get reimbursed by your insurance if your insurance covers that.

Can I Use My HSA/FSA?

Yes, absolutely.

We gladly accept HSA and FSA payments, which allows many families to use pre-tax dollars toward their care.

What will my first appointment look like?

Your first visit is all about getting to know you and understanding how we can best support your health.

We’ll start with a detailed consultation where we talk about your goals, your health history, and what brought you into the office. From there, we’ll perform a thorough examination, including neurological scans, to get a clear picture of how your nervous system is functioning.

This visit is not rushed. It takes about 60 minutes. We take the time to truly listen, assess, and begin to understand what your body needs.

After your initial visit, we’ll schedule a follow-up to go over your results and create a personalized care plan designed specifically for you (or your child).

You specialize in pregnancy and pediatric, do you see adults too?

Yes, we absolutely do.

While we have advanced training and a deep passion for caring for pregnant moms and children, we care for individuals and families at every stage of life.

Many of the parents who bring their children in also choose to receive care themselves, and we love supporting the whole family together.

Our focus is always the same: helping your body function at its highest potential, no matter your age or stage of life.

What techniques does Dr. Lawrence use?

Dr. Lawrence utilizes a combination of gentle, specific techniques to support the nervous system and improve overall function.

Every patient is first analyzed using the MC2 technique, which allows us to assess the primary areas of nervous system interference. Every adjustment is led by this MC2 analysis, ensuring care is precise and tailored to what your body needs.

From there, adjustments are customized for each individual and may include a combination of diversified techniques and drop techniques, both of which are effective, specific, and adaptable for all ages.

Additional techniques may also be utilized based on your individual needs, including the Webster Technique, Torque Release Technique (TRT), Thompson Technique, Toggle Upper Cervical (UC), Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), Activator, and various cranial techniques.

Our approach is always gentle and specific, especially when working with pregnant moms, babies, and children.

What should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing. You will be asked to changed into a gown for the examination and scans.

How much is an adjustment?

Because every individual and family has different needs, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to care, or to pricing. The most you will pay for an adjustment is $75.00, and most of our patients qualify for one or more discounts that make it even more affordable than that.

One of the most utilized discounts we offer is our Family Assistance Plans to help make care more accessible and affordable for families who are committed to ongoing care.

Our team will go over all pricing and options with you clearly, so you feel confident and comfortable moving forward.

What if I'm nervous about getting adjusted?

You are not alone. Dr Lawrence has worked with many individuals that are nervous about the adjustments. For that reason, Dr Lawrence has many ways to adjust and will work with you to find a technique / style that is not only safe and effective, but also meets your needs for comfort and preferences.

Please feel free to discuss any concerns like this with Dr Lawrence during your time with him. Health care should be a team effort and Dr Lawrence wants you to feel comfortable and confident in the care you are getting. He will never do anything to you that he hasn't explained beforehand.

Prenatal & Postpartum Chiropractic Questions

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?

Yes! Chiropractic care is considered safe during pregnancy when provided by a trained chiropractor.

At Inner Light Family Chiropractic, our approach is always gentle, specific, and adapted to your changing body. Our tables are designed to move and accommodate your growing belly, allowing you to lie comfortably throughout your pregnancy.

Dr. Lawrence also has specific training in prenatal chiropractic care and has pursued additional education beyond chiropractic school to better support expecting mothers. This allows us to provide care that is not only safe, but thoughtfully tailored to each stage of pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a time of rapid change, and your body is constantly adapting. Chiropractic care supports that process by helping your body move and function more efficiently, so you can feel more comfortable throughout each stage.

How can chiropractic help my postpartum recovery?

The postpartum season brings a lot of change, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Your body is healing from pregnancy and birth while also adapting to new demands like feeding, holding, and caring for your baby. Things like breastfeeding, carrying your baby, and changes in sleep and routine can place added stress on your body.

At the same time, you’re adjusting to a new rhythm of life, which can feel overwhelming at times.

Chiropractic care supports your body through this transition by helping your nervous system function more efficiently. As your body becomes more balanced and regulated, many moms feel more supported physically and more grounded emotionally.

Our goal is to help you recover, adapt, and feel more connected to your body, your baby, and this new season of life.

When should I start chiropractic care during my pregnancy?

You can begin chiropractic care at any point during your pregnancy.

Some women choose to start care as soon as they find out they are pregnant, while others begin later as their body starts to change more noticeably. Wherever you are in your journey, your body can benefit from support.

Starting earlier allows us to support your body as it adapts from the very beginning. Pregnancy brings constant changes -structural, hormonal, and neurological - and early care helps create a strong foundation as your body moves through each stage.

However, it is never too late to begin. Even later in pregnancy, chiropractic care can help your body move more efficiently, adapt to the changes happening, and feel more supported as you prepare for birth.

Our goal is to meet you where you are and support your body through each phase of your pregnancy, helping you feel more balanced and comfortable.

What is the Webster Technique?

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic approach used during pregnancy to support balance within the pelvis and surrounding structures.

As your body changes throughout pregnancy, it’s common for tension and imbalance to develop in the pelvis, ligaments, and muscles that support the uterus. This can affect how your body adapts to those changes and how space is created for your growing baby.

The Webster Technique focuses on gently reducing that tension and restoring balance to the pelvis so your body can function more efficiently. When the pelvis is more balanced and the nervous system is communicating clearly, your body is better able to adapt to pregnancy and support your baby’s development.

It’s important to understand that the Webster Technique is not about turning or repositioning the baby. Instead, it’s about creating an environment where your body can support the natural process more effectively.

Dr. Lawrence has additional training in prenatal chiropractic care, including the Webster Technique, and uses it as part of a gentle, specific approach to supporting moms throughout pregnancy.

If you’d like to learn more about the Webster Technique and the research behind it, you can visit the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Pediatric Chiropractic Questions

Is chiropractic care safe for babies and children?

Yes! Chiropractic care is safe for babies and children when provided by a trained chiropractor.

At Inner Light Family Chiropractic, our approach is extremely gentle and specifically adapted for each child’s age and stage of development. Adjustments for infants and children use light, precise pressure, often no more than the amount you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato.

Dr. Lawrence has additional training in pediatric chiropractic care beyond chiropractic school, allowing him to provide care that is thoughtful, specific, and appropriate for even the youngest patients.

Our focus is always on supporting your child’s nervous system so their body can grow, develop, and adapt the way it was designed to.

Why would a baby or child need chiropractic care?

From the very beginning, a child’s body is growing, developing, and constantly adapting.

Sometimes, parents notice signs that their baby may be experiencing tension or having a harder time settling and regulating. For babies, this can look like things such as fussiness, difficulty settling, feeding or breastfeeding challenges, or signs of discomfort like reflux or colic.

As children grow, the demands on their body continue to change. Parents may begin to notice things like difficulty sleeping, recurring ear infections, challenges with focus or behavior, growing pains, or even bedwetting.

While these experiences can be common, they can also be a sign that the body is under stress or not adapting as efficiently as it could be.

Chiropractic care focuses on supporting the nervous system so the body can regulate, adapt, and function more effectively. When the nervous system is working well, many children are better able to settle, grow, and navigate each stage of development with greater ease.

What does an adjustment look like for a baby?

Adjustments for babies look very different than what most people expect.

There is no twisting, cracking, or forceful movement. Instead, adjustments are incredibly gentle, using light, specific pressure to support proper movement and nervous system function.

In many cases, Dr. Lawrence performs adjustments while holding your baby, keeping them comfortable, secure, and relaxed throughout the process. This allows the experience to feel calm and familiar, rather than clinical or uncomfortable.

The amount of pressure used is very light, often no more than you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato.

Our goal is always to create a safe, peaceful experience while supporting your baby’s ability to function, grow, and develop naturally. Many babies become more relaxed during the process, and some even fall asleep.
